An agreement to acquire BTP from Perenti Group
Beetle Industries Pty Ltd is pleased to confirm it has entered into an agreement to acquire BTP — one of Australia's largest suppliers of parts and equipment for the mining, construction and agriculture sectors — from Perenti Group.
Perenti Group will be making its own announcement regarding the transaction in the coming days. This page has been prepared to give BTP's customers, staff, and industry partners early visibility on what the acquisition means and what BTP's future looks like as a standalone business.
More than 35 years supporting Australian industry
For over 35 years, BTP has supported Australia's mining, construction and agricultural industries with new, used and aftermarket parts, equipment hire, and mining services, operating from major hubs across Western Australia, Queensland and New South Wales.
Backed by Cratus and experienced operators
The acquisition is backed by Cratus, alongside a group of other experienced industry professionals with deep expertise across mining services, equipment supply, and business growth. This is a team that understands BTP's business, its customers, and the sectors it serves — and is committed to investing in its future.
A standalone, 100% Australian-owned private business
Should the transaction complete, BTP will operate as a standalone, 100% Australian-owned private business. This brings a number of benefits:
Dedicated focus
BTP will be run as a standalone entity, with investment and strategy tailored specifically to its business and its customers, rather than as one part of a larger diversified group.
Continued growth
The backing of experienced operators and investors positions BTP to grow its footprint across mining, construction and agriculture sector opportunities.
Stability for staff and customers
A committed, experienced ownership group focused on the long-term success of the business, its people, and the industries it serves.
Australian owned and focused
Full Australian ownership reinforces BTP's commitment to local industry, local jobs, and local decision-making.
Experienced industry professionals
BTP's next chapter is backed by a team of experienced industry professionals, including:

Growing BTP as a standalone business
Beetle Industries and Cratus are excited about the opportunity to grow BTP as a standalone business — for the benefit of its customers, its staff, and the wider mining, construction and agriculture industries it serves.
More information will be provided as the transaction progresses.
